Blue Jacket Park ~ Picnic Time!
Bring a picnic, bring friends. There is room for everybody and the open spaces leave room for beautiful breezes that roll over the fields.
We regularly play impromptu ultimate frisbee on weekends or a late Wednesday night, you’ll see dog walkers and kids passing one another on the paved path. Enjoy some quiet Florida outdoors with families here.
This park is about 12 minutes from Orlando Science Center, headed to Baldwin Park neighborhood.

A quick 5 minute drive away is Stardust, one of my favorite coffee houses. The lunch food there is awesome! (The “5 Easy Pieces” sandwich has fresh buffalo mozzarella, grilled eggplant, red pepper, pesto, tomato slices, and it is grilled on a panini bread with a side of spring mix salad with balsamic dressing….YUM.) Coffee is top notch too.

Oh ya, we all have Netflix now. But if a rare movie is NOT on Netflix, you can rent it here. (As long as it is a cult classic, or delectably strange and in French.)
1 more thing — tempeh tacos. Sounds gross? Yes. But they are delicious!! I swore off tempeh after being force fed it as a kid, but those tacos seriously changed my mind. Order them at least once.
